August 21st, 1932 - January 21st, 2014
BARBON, JOHN, Jr., 81, of Wesley Chapel passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014. He was born in Lakeland, Florida, served in the United States Marines as a Staff Sgt. during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. John was a Surety Agent for 40 years and served on the Board of Directors for Roche Surety and Casualty for 16 years before retiring in 2012. John had memberships in Egypt Temple Shrine, Scottish Rite and the Masonic Order. John enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Janet; step-son, Matt Brantley and wife Misty; step-daughter, Marla Brantley-Ford; granddaughter, Kayla; grandson, Charles Ford III and many extended family and friends. Sincere appreciation for the outstanding medical care John received from Dr. Carlos Leche, Dr. Ramon Guerrero-Cueto and Gulfside Regional Hospice. A memorial service will be held at Loyless Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations in John's name may be made to Gulfside Regional Hospice, Zephyrhills.
