MCGUIRE, Clayton E. “Jiggs,” 86, of Land O’ Lakes, Florida passed away January 23, 2014. He was born in Ashland, Ohio and moved to Florida in 1977. Clayton served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of Victorious Life Church, Wesley Chapel and a former member of Hayesville United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Beth Ann McGuire. Clayton is survived by his wife, of 66 years, Portia; son, Joel McGuire; daughters, Melinda Sawyer and Patricia Thompson; sister, Maxine Stafford and husband, Bill; six grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; many extended family member and friends. A memorial service will be held at Connerton Court, Saturday February 1, 2014, on the 3rd floor at 1:30 PM. Final resting place will be at Vermillion Cemetery in Hayesville, Ohio.
