Lahod Rafail

RAFAIL, Lahod “Leo”, 86, of Lutz, FL, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2014. He was born in Uniontown, PA and moved to Florida from Ohio in 1985. Leo enlisted in the Army in 1945 and transferred to the Navy in 1946. He retired from General Motors in Ohio. He worked hard and when possible he enjoyed traveling and going to the races. Leo loved his family and took great pride in being a devoted husband and loving father. With plenty of experience raising his own 10 children, Leo enjoyed his part time job as a, very much appreciated, assistant at the Tender Years Day Care in Lutz. Leo was a baseball coach for many years with his seven sons little league teams. He had a great love for all sports. Leo was preceded in death, in 1963, by his first wife, Hazel and, in 2002, by his second wife, Adrian; brother Farris, Jr.; and a sister, Donna. Leo is survived by his ten children, Karen, Sandra, Kenneth, Glen, Leo, Rebecca, Billy, Steven, DeJohn and Richard; three sisters, Dorothy, Laura and Honora; 23 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, December 1, 2014 at Loyless Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday evening at Loyless Funeral Home.
