Robert Paul Mickler

MICKLER, Robert Paul “Bob,” 87, of Red Hook, New York, passed away Friday, December 19, 2014. Born in Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of the late Carl and Margaret (Melsopp) Mickler. Raised in New York City, he met his wife, Dorothy. Bob and Dorothy married on May 27, 1950. He was a retired Lithographer. A devoted and loving husband and father, he enjoyed bowling, boating, and playing cards. He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy. Bob is survived by his seven children, Robert A. Mickler and wife, Chris of Raleigh, North Carolina, Dorothy Clark and husband, Jon of Red Hook, New York, Diane Ceasar and husband, Glen of Germantown, New York, Susan Humet and husband, Joseph of Land O’ Lakes, Florida, Carol Mickler of Red Hook, New York, Joan Mickler, of Red Hook, New York, and Patrick Mickler and wife, Staci of Austin, Texas; one sister, Ann Daley; fifteen grandchildren, Sarah, Jeffrey, David, Robert, Jennifer, Susan Anne, Kyle, Ryan, Carrie, Jessica, Christopher, Shannon, Dylan, Sierra, and Lyell; seven great grandchildren, Cameron, Brenden, Chase, Madison, Ryan, Kadyn, and Morgan; as well as several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will take place in New York at a later date.
