CARSON, Doris M. passed away on June 19, 2015. She was born on March 22, 1916. Doris was fortunate enough to celebrate her 99th birthday this past March. She was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in Michigan. She later moved to Florida with her husband to raise their family. They first lived in Miami, and then Vero Beach, finally settling in Land O’ Lakes, Florida. Doris is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Oliver W. “Kit” Carson. She is survived by her daughter, Cathy; son, Russell; and other family. There will be no service, but a small celebration of her life will be held at a later date at Connerton Court. She will be laid to rest at Lauderdale Memorial Gardens, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please make donations to Gulfside Hospice located at 2061 Collier Parkway, Land O’ Lakes, Florida 34639.
