Anne King

Anne King, 79, of Venice, Florida, passed away June 25, 2015. She had recently moved with her husband Frank to Wesley Chapel to be closer to her family. Anne was born in Swinford, County Mayo, Ireland, into a large, loving family. When she was 18-years-old, she moved to New York where she met Frank and raised their family. Besides devoting her life to raising their two daughters, Anne worked many years for Bell Telephone Co. The Kings moved to the Venice area in 1978, and over the past 37 years she remained active working at SunTrust bank, The Plantation, and most recently at Cramer Toyota. She was a devoted member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Besides her husband, Anne is survived by her two daughters, Ellen Helfrich and Cathy Harris; sisters Kathleen Magee and Mary Comerford; and brothers John Kenny and Michael Kenny; and grandchildren Daniel Helfrich, Julia Helfrich, Christopher Harris and Ellen Harris. A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, July 8 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes on Center Road in Venice, with a lunch reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the American Heart Assn. Anne was a loving wife and mother, will be dearly missed and will live on in the hearts of all those she touched.
