Daniel Davis Jr.

DAVIS, Daniel, Jr., 84, of Land O’ Lakes, Florida passed away Sunday, June 9, 2019. Dan was born in Philadelphia, PA and moved to Florida in the early 1980’s from New Jersey where he met the love of his life Mary. He fell deeply in love with her and shared many passionate interests including a lifelong love of tennis. They eventually moved to St. John where he built a very successful construction business creating some of the most prestigious and beautiful houses on the island. Dan was an accomplished artist as a painter and sculptor and he brought that passion and creativity to the beautiful houses he built in challenging locations on St. John. Dan was a beloved member of his family and had many close friends in the islands and in his final home in Land O Lakes, Florida. He had a great sense of humor and a sharp wit and will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death in 2015, by his wife of 44 years, Mary. Dan is survived by his sons, David, and Donald (Christina); two grandchildren, DJ and Kara; and many extended family members. His friends are invited to the funeral service which will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 22nd at Loyless Funeral Home. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.
