Obituary of Hakeem Aquil Hakeem Nzimbi Aquil was born on Tuesday, March 10, 1998 at the Naval Hospital-Balboa in San Diego, California. He was raised in San Diego, California, Stafford, Virginia, and Lutz, Florida. Hakeem graduated from Freedom High School in 2016 and continued his education at Pasco-Hernando College of Wesley Chapel. He recently worked as a substitute teacher for the Hillsborough County School District and was a member of Grace Family Church where he was Baptized on Saturday, April 25, 2009. Hakeem was highly spiritual, diligent, fearless, very kind, and giving. He loved the Lord, his family, and friends. Hakeem’s hobbies were Basketball and running. His favorite type of food was Chinese food and he loved fresh baked cookies from McDonald’s. Hakeem is survived by his loving parents, Curtis and June Aquil; sisters, Aisha Smith and Sade Aquil; his maternal grandmother, Jemimah Krieger, nephew, Malachi Smith, niece, Amara Smith, many extended family members, and friends too numerous to mention. Hakeem left an imprint on each of our hearts. We know Hakeem is now in Heaven and at peace with our Heavenly Father. Public Viewing will be held at Grace Family Church 22920 SR 54 Lutz, Florida 33549 on Friday, January 17, 2020 from 11:00am to 12:00pm. A celebration of Hakeem’s life will commence shortly thereafter. The family has entrusted care and services to Loyless Funeral Home 5310 Land O’Lakes Blvd., Land O’Lakes, Florida 34639.
