CARVER, Gary H, 87, of Land O’ Lakes, loving husband and wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather slipped away peacefully on August 5, 2020. He has gone to be with his Lord and Savior, of which he spoke often. Gary was born on July 5, 1933 in Hartsville, Tennessee to Mable Francis and Herman N. Carver. He proudly served in the United States Air Force, retiring honorably after 20 years active duty. Upon retirement, he worked for Schlitz Brewery Can Plant for 16 years and also owned and operated Carver Farm of Land O’ Lakes. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, mother of his children, Marjane Garnes, daughter, Karlotta Kay, and grandson, Perry Kiser. Leaving to mourn his absence are his beloved wife, Linda, his children, Gary H. Carver, Jr, Teresa G. Godin (Bill), Kay Carver, Tina Nyquist (Craig), Clarisa Jacko (John), Teresa Gonya (GW), Marian Gant (Toby), Cathy Betz, his fourteen grandchildren, Cassandra, Gary III, Alex, Chrissy, Nick, Andrea, Johnny, David, Tasha, Randi, Danielle, J.B, T.J, and Justin; twenty great-grandchildren, Madison, Sebastian, Lily, Anthony, Atom, Elliot, Amber, Brittany, Marcial, David, Annabelle, Charlotte, Jordan, Jerrod, James, Bryndan, Gavin, Grace, Devon, Alauna, and one great-great-grandchild, Brantley. He was proud to be a 32 degree Master Mason of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Valley of Tampa, Orient of Florida and the J. F. Swartsel Lodge #251 in Lutz., Egypt Shriners of Tampa, and the Disabled American Veterans. In lieu of flowers, please consider Gary's favorite charity, the Shriner's Children's Hospital. Gary was the patriarch of our large, merged and extended family. We all looked to him for his wisdom, strength and kindness. His faith was steadfast. We will dreadfully miss him but know he is now resting in the arms of The Lord. But Gary was never good at resting. If you get a nudge in the right direction now and then, know that he is with us, guiding and guarding until we can join him in everlasting life.
