Jean Lazzara

Lazzara, June W. "Jean", 89, of Wesley Chapel, Florida went home to be with the Lord on August 8, 2020. She was a native Floridian born in Tampa, Florida and lifelong resident of the Tampa Bay area. Jean started her lifelong career at Allstate Insurance Company in the 1960's as a Receptionist and worked hard over the years to become the first female Regional Commercial Claims Manager at the company. She retired with this well-earned title after over 35 years. Jean was also co-owner of Gardenroc Florist with her sister, Marilyn for 25+ years, where she later created a Gift Basket addition to the business and spent her weekends creating and enjoying that part in particular. Jean was an active member of Life Church, Wesley Chapel, Florida. She participated in various small ministries within the Church. She enjoyed spending time with the Lord at home and reading and studying the Bible and encouraging others in the faith and telling the salvation eternal life promise of Jesus Christ to all she could. She enjoyed fishing, bowling, gardening, home decorating, writing stories, festive time of the year with Christmas decorations and lights and spending lots of time with family and friends. Jean was pre-deceased by her beloved son David. She is survived by her loving family, sister Marilyn Chaudoin, son Steve Lazzara (Donna), daughter Tammy Maiero, 3 grandchildren Justin, Kelse, Kalan, 6 great-grandchildren Savannah, Elijah, Jeremiah, Sarah, Gabriella, Micah, also nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jean will be sadly missed by her family and friends but will live on in our hearts forever. A funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Loyless Funeral Home in Land O Lakes. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial donations may be made, in memory of Jean Lazzara, to The Humane Society.
