James "Jim" Arthur Morris

James Arthur Morris (Jim), 83, of Zephyrhills, Florida passed away peacefully on December 12, 2022, surrounded by his family. Throughout his 6-year battle with lung cancer, he always kept his positive attitude. Jim was born May 13, 1939, in Pensacola, Florida and was raised in Coronado, California, and Calvert County, Maryland. He proudly served in the United States Navy. He was a parishioner of St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in Tampa, Florida, where he was in the Knights of Columbus. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Loren and Irene Morris, and his granddaughter, Megan Morris. Jim is survived by his loving wife of over 62 years, Sandi Morris; his children Cheryl (Dan) Vance, Carla (Chris) Easton, Loren (Mike) Morris-House and Greg (Karey) Morris; his grandchildren Alex (Stephanie), Freddie, Ketty, Casey, Katie and AJ; and his great grandchildren Mikayla, Jemma, Meadow and Owen. Jim enjoyed seeing the world and spent many years traveling with Sandi in the U.S. and abroad. He enjoyed model railroading and touring in their RV. He loved animals, especially his loyal companion “Flash the Wonder Dog.” Jim was a kind and caring man and a great role-model for his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in Jim’s name.
