Yong Soon Seo

Yong Soon Seo was a devoted husband, a wonderful father, a loving grandfather, and a faithful Christian servant. Born in Seoul, South Korea, he served in the Korean Air Force during the Korean War. Later, he and his wife, Young-Ja, immigrated to the land of the free and brought the American Dream to his three beautiful children. Young Soon and his wife worked hard to support the family. He began his career in the states as a chemical engineer, and later transitioned to being a small business owner. God called for his presence two week before his 89th birthday on 27 April, 2023 in peace and without suffering, surrounded by his loving family (his wife, three children and their spouses as well as six grandchildren) who are forever grateful for his limitless love and support throughout their lives. His cheerful demeanor and positive outlook on life were not only contagious but also inspirational for how to live our lives. He was the family patriarch, who always went out of his way to help others to demonstrate selflessness. He exhibited the fruit of the Holy Spirit (Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and Self Control) more than many of us and that is why so many people were attracted to him as a person. Yong Soon was married to Young-Ja for more than 60 years, and loved her greatly. He will be greatly missed, but we believe he is cheering us on until we will one day join him in heaven. Young Soon was a fashionable dresser, an avid fan of golf and a Sudoku student.
