Leroy Adolphous Ferdinand left this Earth on April 1, 2021, at 6:36 am. Leroy was born in St. Kitts, West Indies, on August 20, 1953, to Joseph Ferdinand and Pearline Warner-Ferdinand. After finishing school, he relocated with his family to St. Croix, US Virgin Islands, where he made music his occupation. Later in his adult life, he moved to the USA, and in 1993, he met his second wife, Myrna, in Tampa, Florida. Leroy was a great Musician and Guitarist, and founder of the Groovers Reggae Band. For over forty years, he made his living playing music and entertaining people, throughout Florida, and several other states. Leroy is survived by his three children, Carleen Ferdinand, Marvin Ferdinand, and Leroy Ferdinand, Jr., two grandchildren: Heaven-Leigh, and Mykyal, one stepdaughter: Tanya Harvin, and four step-grandchildren: Ebony, Essynce, Jacqaise, and Tamiyah. He is also survived by his two sisters, Deloris Ferdinand-Parrilla, and Renee Ferdinand, three brothers, Samuel Ferdinand, Donald Ferdinand, Eustace Ferdinand, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and one daughter-in-law, La Juana Ferdinand. Leroy was a very humorous, no-nonsense person. He always said what he meant and meant what he said. He was filled with love and compassion, which captivated everyone around him. He has surely left a void. Rest in peace until we all meet again.
