William R. Rainey Sr., 77, of Wesley Chapel, Florida, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2021. He was born on October 29, 1943, in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Robert and Mina Rainey. William moved to Florida in 1993 and retired as a Floor Inspector from Zollner Corp. Bill was a former President of UAW Local 2357. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Joanna Rainey; his sons, William R. Rainey, Jr. and Mickey Rainey; his daughters, Kelly Rainey and Christine Rainey, and brother and sister-in law, Curt and Jan Rainey. Bill was predeceased by his father, Robert John Rainey, his mother Mina Cowan Rainey, and his brothers, Moe Rainey, Ed Rainey, and Denny Rainey. Private services will be held. The family has entrusted care and services to Loyless Funeral Home.
