Francisco Javier Mendoza

Francisco Javier Mendoza, 37, recently moved to Wesley Chapel from Herndon, Virginia and passed away October 10, 2021. He was born in Guayama, Puerto Rico on March 2, 1984 and moved to Florida in 2008 to obtain his Master’s degree in Computer Engineering at UCF. He is survived by his loving wife of seven years, Amanda Canupp Mendoza, his three-year-old daughter, Deanna Marietta Mendoza, his newborn son, Oliver Javier Mendoza, and his mother, Carmen Diaz Colon. Francisco was a dedicated son and the best Papa and husband. He loved his children above all else. His favorite pastime was going to Disney with his family. He has been to every Disney park in the world. He also enjoyed visiting new places, trying exotic foods, watching Marvel & DC shows & movies, revisiting anime classics, and making tiki drinks for his friends. Like the characters in Francisco’s favorite comics, he also had a super power; he could whistle any song for any length of time and he could do it in perfect pitch. He also loved his job as a Database Engineer at Mitre and was proud to contribute to their mission for public good in his work for the FAA, Department of Defense, and Army among others. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Francisco’s favorite charity, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, which gives the gift of free books to children across the country.
