Carole Ann passed away peacefully at the age of 85 in Arvada, CO.
She is survived by loving husband of 66 years Samuel Jackson; son Mitchell (Ann); grandsons Calvin and Connor; sister Mary Drake (John), and nephew Kim Durfey. Preceded in death by her parents Theresa and Louis Schaffer and nephew Keith Durfey.
Flying with the Spirit of the West, Frontier Airlines for 19 years, Carole said that all of her trips were her favorite. She retired at the age of 74. Being a master gardener she enjoyed her vegetable and flower gardens and fruit trees producing hundreds of canned jars of jams and vegetables. She competed in the World Senior games for 20+ years including softball, volleyball, soccer, racket ball, tennis, track and field. Being a true Colorado native, she loved horses and horseback riding which led her to compete in gymkhanas, Cowboy Polo, and trail riding. She was a compassionate animal lover bringing home countless strays.
Carole's youthful spirit and passion for adventure will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. You will be forever in our hearts. We love you and miss you dearly.
