Mildred Jane Young
February 17th, 1927 - March 3rd, 2021
Mildred Jane Young née Clontz passed away March 3, 2021, in St. Petersburg, Florida at the age of 94. She was born February 17, 1927, in Hubbard, Ohio to Floyd Clontz and Carrie Bell Wells. She is preceded in death by her parents, her eight siblings, and her husband of 55 years, Richard A. Young. She is survived by her daughters Karen (Edward) Golden, and Kimberly (Richard) Robinson, her son Richard (Teresa) Young, her seven grandchildren, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Milly loved to travel with her husband and many friends. She was an avid crafter, loved solving puzzles, and spending time with her beloved dogs. She also had a love for Christmas that few could match, often leaving her Christmas tree up for months after the season and was sure to decorate an angel tree for every holiday. She was a proud member of the Social Order of the Beauceant for over 60 years having served as a founding member of Tampa #208, a past President, and past Supreme Color Bearer for the National Group. In addition, for over 50 years, she was a proud member of the Eastern Star, having served as Past Matron. She belonged to Annie H. Schneider #327 in Dover, Florida. Mildred's memorial service will be held at the Garden of Memories in Tampa on Monday, March 29, 2021 at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Knights Templar Eye Foundation. Milly is dearly missed by her family and friends.
