Grateful for sharing his life are his wife, Cynthia Marie Reed; his daughter, Amelia Grace Reed; his brother, Lloyd Edward (Christel) Reed; two nieces and one nephew and their spouses (Jessica, Daniella, Kate, Robert, David and Christina); and six grandnieces. Vaughn was preceded in death by his parents, Mervin and Aryl Reed. Vaughn was born in St. Petersburg. He lived his whole life here and loved it. We named him the “unofficial ambassador of St. Petersburg”. He graduated from St. Petersburg High School where he enjoyed playing baseball. Vaughn was the sales manager for Time Insulation for over twenty-five years. His coworkers say that he always had a smile on his face. He was honest and fair with his customers and well respected by his coworkers and the contractor community. He was a long-time member of Suncoast Cathedral where he served as an elder for many years. Vaughn was currently serving on the St. Petersburg Christian School Board where he has served since 2011. Vaughn also volunteered at New Life Solutions in St. Petersburg, dedicating his time to assist with fundraising and other needs. Vaughn enjoyed golf, fishing, baseball, and Gator football. He loved to share stories and loved talking to people. He made friends wherever he went. He was always willing to listen as a friend and offer support and prayer. He loved to share about his Savior, Jesus. His greatest joy was his precious jewel, Amelia Grace Reed. He enjoyed spending time with her most of all! His Celebration of Life service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 7,2023 at Suncoast Cathedral with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery in St. Petersburg.
