Carl Michael "Mike"Scruggs passed away August 25, 2023 in St. Petersburg Florida after a short illness. He was born April 5, 1952, in Nashville Tennessee to the late Mary Elizabeth Jackson Scruggs and the late Langon Madison Scruggs. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, William Thomas Scruggs and Harold B Scruggs. Mike is survived by his husband and partner of 43 years, Trenton Smith of St Petersburg. Mike also leaves behind three sisters, Peggy Smallen, Debbie Holland (Roger), and Rita Wiser ( Dennis) all of Gallatin Tennessee and one brother, Joseph Scruggs (Dottie) of St Augustine Florida, 7 nieces and nephews, and 8 great nieces and nephews. Mike was a graduate of Eckerd College in St Petersburg Florida. A graveside service will be at a later date.
