In Loving Memory Roger Kent Crutchfield, 89, died Friday, April 19, 2024, at his home in Safety Harbor. He was born in Tazwell, Tennessee to Sam and Stella Crutchfield. He served in United States Air Force, graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Electrical Engineering, and then took a position with Magnavox, then the Federal Division of IBM where he made significant contributions to the Space Program. He retired from IBM and eventually formed Optimum Behavioral Healthcare Services. He is survived by his wife, Ann Crutchfield, and his children, Michele Hand (Tad), Gregory Crutchfield, Leesa Robertson (Rob), stepson Chris Ellingham (Patti) and grandchildren Brittney, Cassidy, Chase, Camren, Ethan, Carson, Lauren, Ashley, and Emily. A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 11, 2024, at 11:00 am at Church of the Ascension, 701 Orange Avenue, Clearwater, FL 33756 He was an honest man, much respected by all who knew him.
