August 30th, 1938 - March 24th, 2013
Herbert, Martha Mary, 74, of St. Petersburg, died Sunday, March 24, 2013, at St Anthony's Hospital. Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, she came here in 2004 from Broomall, PA. She was a member of Village Green Community Church. She was a member of the Elks Lodge # 2217 in Pinellas Park as well as a member of the AMVETS. She loved to play poker. She was terrific at organization and enjoyed reading books on the subject. She started with her railroad career with Pennsylvania Railroad which later became Penn-Central Transportation Company before becoming Con-Rail where she was a Requisition Marker in the Purchasing Department for 22 years. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Paul Herbert; her sister, June Coffey of Pennsauken, NJ; a cousin, Donald Duffield of Dillon, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews. Donations may be made in her name to Elks Lodge, 7550 - 40th Street North, Pinellas Park, FL 33781.
