Mina Ruth (Chastain) Humphreys, 73, St. Petersburg, FL, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 16, 2013, in St. Petersburg, of natural causes. Born January 17, 1940, in Tampa, Florida. Survived by loving and devoted husband of 30 years Ronald Lee Humphreys, children Sandra and her husband Richard of Plano, TX, Kimberly of St. Petersburg, Michael and his wife Belinda of St. Petersburg, grandchildren Natalie and Nicholas of Plano, TX, Angela of Salem, IN, Dwight of St. Petersburg, Zachory and Austin of St. Petersburg, great grandchildren Tristen, Rory, Jeremy, and Ean. Sisters Sandra of Lake Mary, FL, Elizabeth and her husband James of Deltona, FL, nieces and nephews David, Deborah, Angela, Caroline, beloved Aunt Clara and Uncle Seldon of Tampa. Preceded in death by her parents Maxwell and Rebecca Chastain, and nephew Eric. Mina loved her family, Florida beaches, reading, playing Solitaire, crossword puzzles, sewing, Mexican food, Court TV, discussing current topics and events, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and NASCAR. The family wishes to extend their gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Chandarana and his staff. A chapel service will be held at Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home, 7820 38th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, FL, at 1pm, on Saturday, April 20. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories-Myrtle Hill Memorial Cemetery in Tampa.
