Mary Ann Martha McQueen of Old Town, Florida passed away on Thursday, May 9, 2013 after a long battle with cancer. She was born in St. Petersburg, Florida and lived 89 years. Mary Ann was proud of her honorable service in our US Navy where she served during World War II as Seaman First Class as a meteorologist. She moved to Old Town Florida in 1960 with her husband Fletcher G. McQueen where she was an active member of VFW, World War II Veterans, AM Vets, DAV, American Legion, Fanning Springs Fire Department Auxiliary, Red Hats, Suwannee River Moose Club, Home Community Education of Levy County and attended Fanning Springs Church of Christ. She is survived by two sons, Ronnie McQueen(Carol) of Fanning Springs, Tommy McQueen of Old Town; sister Betty Touma of Old Town; grandchildren Heather McQueen Bradford (Tab), Wes McQueen, Whitney McQueen, Samantha McQueen; great- grandchildren Riley Anne Bradford, Judson Bradford and many loving family and friends. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to Haven Hospice of The Tri-Counties, 311 NE 9th Street, Chiefland, FL or The American Cancer Society.
