78, of St. Petersburg, passed peacefully from this earth on Thursday, June 27, 2013, after a brief illness. Born in Welch, West Virginia on September 24, 1934 to Helen Marie Lambert and Larence William Burgner, Anne was a 1952 graduate of Welch, WV High School where she earned scholarships to WVU. On October 27, 1954 Anne married C.R. Morgan and became a career Air Force wife. Anne moved to St. Petersburg in 1983, but her heart never left West Virginia. Anne has been a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in St. Petersburg since 1999 after the closing of Holy Cross Episcopal Church. Anne is now reunited with her dearly loved identical twin sister, Marie, and son, Chuck, who predeceased her. She is greatly loved and missed by her family including daughter, Karen Mullins (Bo), brother, Dave Evans, daughter in law , Kathy Edwards ( Mark), grandchildren, Shannon Edgar (Frank), Rachel Morgan, Adam Cornett (Kayla), Zachary Cornett, Clark Morgan, great-granddaughter, Molly, niece, Beth Dean, nephew, Mike Dean (Jeannie) and many friends. Anne's greatest joys in life were the times she spent with her family and friends, the almost 5000 hours she volunteered with the American Red Cross, her years of volunteering for The Episcopal Church, the years she spent as a devoted military wife and cheering on the Tampa Bay Rays, WV Mountaineers, and any other sports team she deemed worthy of her energetic support. A celebration of Life will be held at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 1200 Snell Isle Blvd. NE, St. Petersburg, FL. On Saturday, July 13th at 10:00 am. Her final resting place will be at St. Thomas Episcopal Church and Bluefield, WV. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Anne's memory to The American Red Cross or Suncoast Hospice. The family would like to thank the Abby Rehabilitation Center for there care and compassion.
