Robert "Big Bob" Sanchez passed away peacefully in his favorite chair on July 7, 2013. He is survived by his loving wife Patricia, adoring children Bobby and Sandy, and countless family and friends. Bob was born in New York City on New Year's Day 1949. His ambitious personality led him to become a bat boy for his hometown New York Mets until the days of his military service. He served in the US Army from June 1969 to January 1971 and was stationed in Seoul, Korea. His love for baseball and warm weather brought him to reside in sunny Saint Petersburg, Florida in 1975. Soon after he moved, many of his friends and family followed. Bob was always a gracious host and generous to everyone he met. He will be remembered for his big smile, boisterous personality and desire for a good party. Anyone could see how much he cherished his family and friends through the pictures he took and the home movies he directed. Bob was truly larger than life and he will be missed greatly. He will continue to sing in all of our hearts with his unforgettable voice... He always appreciated the moment and had a passion to document the memories.
