Reynolds, Marguerite Elizabeth, 85, of St. Petersburg, died Saturday, August 14, 2010, at Menorah Manor. She came here in 1953 from her native West Haven, CT. She graduated from Traphagen School of Design in NYC. She owned and operated Jennifer's Dress Shop for 15 years in St. Petersburg. She was also an owner and operator of Hair Hunter's Beauty Salon for over 20 years in St. Petersburg. She was Roman Catholic and attended the Cathedral of St. Jude's. She was a very active member and volunteer for the St. Petersburg Symphony Guild as well as a member of the Opera Guild. She was a member of the St. Petersburg Yacht Club. She was the first female member of the Committee of 100 with the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce. An avid ballroom dancer, she and her late husband, Charles Reynolds, taught dance for Arthur Murray's Dance Studio in the late 1950's and early 1960's. She loved to read and grow orchids. She is survived by her daughters, Paula Pauly, St. Petersburg, FL and Beth Reynolds, Northfield, MA; her son, Charles Reynolds II, Tampa, FL; a sister, Antionette Marra, South Pasadena, FL; two grandsons and a great grandson. There will be a Public Visitation from 4 - 7PM on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at Anderson-McQueen (NESP) - Heritage Hall, 2201-Dr. M.L. King Street North, St. Petersburg, with a Funeral Service at 10AM on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Anderson-McQueen (NESP) - Heritage Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to Suncoast Hospice or Menorah Manor Foundation.
