Winslow, Judith "Judy", 75, of St Petersburg, passed away September 8, 2013 at Bon Secours Place. Judy was born May 13, 1938 to Fred and Ruth Winslow. She was an accomplished teacher, earning her education from Stetson University and teaching for 37 years in Pinellas County Public Schools. She was also a 39-year member of First Baptist Church of St Petersburg, where she taught Sunday school for both children and adults. Judy also sang in the choir and did countless hours of volunteer work. Judy was never married. She leaves two brothers, Peter and John, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and sister, Sandra Winslow Swift. Judy had an extended family of friends including Jo Beth and Ed Wisner, her adoptive "local family". There will be a memorial service to celebrate her life on Monday, September 23, at 1pm, at First Baptist Church of St Petersburg, with Rev. Pike A. Wisner, and Rev. Dr. Phil Lilly presiding. Judy's family would like to extend special thanks to Suncoast Hospice Lavender Team and all the nurses, caregivers, and personnel at Bon Secours Place who all so lovingly gave of themselves for Judy in her last weeks. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, any memorial gift donations please be made in Judy's name to First Baptist Church of St. Petersburg, 1900 Gandy Boulevard, St. Petersburg, FL 33702, or to Suncoast Hospice Lavender Team, 5771 Roosevelt Boulevard, Clearwater, FL 33760.
