Margaret Ina Duncan, 65, of St. Petersburg, passed away October 22, 2013 after a long and courageous fight against ALS. Born in Waterford, Michigan, Sept. 9, 1948, Margaret moved to St. Petersburg with her family in 1955. She graduated from Boca Ciega High School and attended SPC and USF. Margaret was Controller for Duncan Roofs for forty years. A trailblazer in her industry, she was very active in the National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), serving as a three-term President of the St Petersburg chapter. Margaret is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Robert; daughter Bonnie Lee Vysotsky [Radim], of Maryland; and three grandchildren: Delia, Ben and Gage. She is also survived by three siblings: Janet Sullivan; James Thomson; and Kenneth Thomson, several nieces and nephews; and many caring members of her blended family including: Seth Duncan; Shea Duncan Beam and her children Tatum, Rylan and Jacoby Beam. Margaret's presence in our life is a gift for which we will always be thankful. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
