DeCosmo, John Arthur, 68, of Largo, died November 19, 2013. John was born on February 19, 1945 in Brooklyn, New York; first born child to Michael and Mildred DeCosmo. He attended Bishop Barry High School and continued on to serve in the US Army from April 1966 to November 1971. John married his lovely wife Vivian on February 14, 2005. John and his brother Michael started J&M Aluminum, Inc. and he spent his working career as President of J&M Aluminum, Inc. for 45 years. He was actively involved in The Aluminum Association of Florida and served as the President for 5 years. He eagerly volunteered his time to the association, receiving numerous awards through his years of service. In 2009, then President, Richard Moore presented John a Lifetime Achievement Award. This is the only Lifetime Achievement Award ever presented in the history of AAF. As a passion, he was an avid corvette collector. He loved spending time with his beloved dogs: Tasha and Boo. John is survived by his wife: Vivian DeCosmo; four brothers and two sisters: Michael, Arthur, Cristina, Gary, Perry and Millie; five children: Tony, John, Kelly, Nanette and Jill; 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Anderson-McQueen Funeral Home, 2201 Dr. MLK Street North, St. Petersburg, FL 33704 on Saturday November 23rd from 11:00 am until 1:00PM. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 1:00PM.
