Deborah Davis Carter passed away on February 9, 2014 after a short, but very brave fight with cancer, lovingly surrounded by her family and friends. Deb was a pediatric cardiology nurse for 40 years. She practiced neonatal cardiology in NJ and PA. After moving to St. Petersburg, she practiced pediatric cardiology with All Children's Hospital and Pediatric Cardiology Associates. Deb was a healer and a teacher. She lovingly touched the lives of her patients and colleagues with her smiling, gentle manner. Her family will miss her loving smile and kind heart. She is preceded in death by her father, Thomas A. Davis, and her mother, Mary Jo Davis. She is survived by her husband, Robert T. Carter, son Grant C. Carter and daughter Caley E. Carter; her sisters, Judith Woodring and Mary Lynn Davis; her brother Thomas P. Davis. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Cathedral of St. Jude at 5815 5th Ave North, St. Petersburg, Fl. 33710. A reception will be held at Banquet Masters at 8100 Park Blvd. # 201 Pinellas Park, Fl. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Carter Cancer Fund at www.giveforward.com and type in Deb Carter. Her internment will be at Bay Pines Veterans Cemetery on Monday February 24 2014 at 10:00 AM.
