Arthur Durling Corliss, a dedicated father, husband and grandfather, age 74, passed away peacefully at the Bay Pines Veterans Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL, on April 23, 2014. Born on February 1, 1940, Mr. Corliss grew up in Manchester, NH and worked as a firefighter with the Manchester Fire Department. Arthur was a veteran of the Airforce and Army, where he served from 1957 - 1964. Upon relocation to Clearwater, FL, Mr. Corliss was as a Sergeant with Weiser Security Services, Inc. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Ula Corliss of Manchester, NH. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Mildred Corliss of Clearwater, FL, his son and daughter-in-law, David and Joy Corliss of Cumming, GA; son and daughter-in law, Steven Corliss and Christine Adams of Clearwater, FL, and daughter Lynn Corliss of Clearwater, FL. "Grampie" is also survived by his grandchildren: Benjamin, Elizabeth, Caitlin and Emily. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 2:00-5:00 PM at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home, Tyrone Chapel, 8920 - 38th Avenue, St. Petersburg, FL, with a reception immediately following.
