Carlos M. Zamora

Zamora, Carlos M. "Don Carlos" 92, of Pinellas Park, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2014. The son of the late Nestor and Carmen (Mosqueda) Zamora, was born on June 5, 1921 in San Marco, TX. He married Catarina "Katy" Cadena on November 22, 1947 where they eventually settled in Saginaw, MI and raised their children. He retired from General Motors after 20 + years and was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. He dedicated his life to family and friends and will be greatly missed. In 1983, they retired to St. Petersburg. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Catarina C. Zamora and many family and friends. His is survived by his 8 children, Carmen Lopez, Beatrice Ramirez, Ernesto Zamora, Ester Tanury, Elvira Zamora, Margarita Garlin, Carlos Zamora Jr. and Arturo Zamora; 25 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family would like to give a special thank you to Cande and Mario for the love and care they gave to our father. A visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 27th and Wednesday, May 28th from 6-9pm at the 7820 38th Ave. N. location. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday May 29th at 12pm at Holy Cross Catholic Church and burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
