Harris, Simeon Henry ?Sam,? 70, of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday March 7, 2000 at home. Born in Highland Park, Michigan, he came here in 1970 from Dearborn Heights, Michigan. He worked as a truck driver with the Ford Motor Company in Michigan and retired as the maintenance supervisor for Maas Brothers Dept. Store in St. Petersburg. He was an Army veteran of WWII who served in the Army of Occupation in Japan. He was a member of Pinellas Daylight Masonic Lodge #385 F. & A.M. in St. Petersburg and was Methodist. Survivors include two daughters: Diana J. Jamison, Inglis, FL; and Susan D. Smith, Chiefland, FL; one son, Richard S., St. Petersburg; two step-daughters: Karen Becraft and Nancy Williams, both of St. Petersburg; one step-son, Karl Wagner, Dunedin, FL; two sisters: Evelyn Albright, Oak Park, MI; and Shirley Eller, Hubbard Lake, MI; one brother, Alister, Hazel Park, MI; and nine grandchildren. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center-Ninth Street Chapel, St. Petersburg.
