Crawford, Clara M., 87, of Largo, died Friday May 26, 2000 at her home. She came to St. Petersburg in 1922 from her native Tifton, GA, she moved to St. Pete Beach in 1965, moving to Largo in 1990. She graduated in 1929 from St. Petersburg High School and was a license practical nurse at Mound park Hospital. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, St. Petersburg, and volunteered as their Youth Director for 25 years. She was member of the Knights of Pythias, St. Petersburg. She and her husband, Douglas celebrated their 70th anniversary this past year. She is survived by her husband, Douglas B. ; two daughters, Peggy Stala, Seminole and Martha Diangelo, Frankin, N.C.; six grandchildren, Paul A. Stala, Auburndale, Thomas L. Stala, Largo, Richard N. Bryan and Robert Bryan, both of St. Petersburg, Terry Bryan, St. Augustine, and Susan Malott, Crystal River; and 11 great-grandchildren.
