Patton, James Richard, 87, of St. Petersburg, died Saturday June 3, 2000 at Vencor Hospital St. Petersburg. He came to St. Petersburg in 1974 from his native Detroit, Michigan. He retired in 1974 as a range repairman after 44 years with Detroit Edison. He was a Navy veteran of W.W.II and was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in St. Petersburg. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Virginia H. Patton; his son and daughter-in-law, John K. and Andrea Patton and three grandchildren, Bryce, Kyle and Philip Patton all of Orion Township, Michigan. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center-Ninth Street Chapel, St. Petersburg.
