October 9th, 1935 - June 20th, 2000
Harter, David G., 64, of St. Petersburg, died Tuesday June 20, 2000 at home of metastatic melanoma. A native of Niagara Falls, NY, and he moved to this area over 30 years ago. He was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church in Seminole. He was a member of the Florida and American Dental Association. Served Pinellas County Dental as the Board of Directors for the Dental Hygiene School at St. Petersburg Junior College. Former President of Pinellas Dental Research Clinic, as well as a representative of the Rotary International Cleft Lip and Palate Team, where he served in the ROTA Cleft Mission to Peru in January 1999. He was a restorative dentist for 30 years in St. Petersburg area, and graduated University of Louisville Dental School, Kentucky. He was an Eagle Scout, Council Camping Chairman, Scout Master, Assistant Scout Master and a life member of the National Eagle Scout Association. Survivors include his wife Julia of St. Petersburg, one son: David G. Jr., two daughters: Lisa Harter of Boston, MA, and Debbie Harter of Palm Beach, FL, one sister: Marian Harter of Cleveland, OH, parents: Don and Ruth Harter of Pinellas Park, FL. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center- Bobbitt Chapel, St. Petersburg.
