August 19th, 1944 - December 5th, 2014
Berger, Robert Walter 70, of St. Petersburg, passed away Friday, December 5, 2014 at home, in the care of his loving family. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, he moved in the Tampa Bay area in 1972 after graduating from the University of Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by Andrew John Berger, Esther Ann Berger. Robert worked in public health for 34 years. He enjoyed golfing and motorsports, and was a member of the BMW Car Club of America for over 30 years. In his retirement, his personal efforts to help and support needy families and children in Jamaica brought him great joy. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Betty Ann Berger, and son Andrew Berger . There will be a visitation from 4-7 PM on Friday, December 12, 2014, with a Wake Service at 5 PM, and a reception to follow, at Anderson McQueen Funeral Home, 2201 Dr. MLK St. N., St. Petersburg. A Funeral Mass will be held at 12 PM on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 1800 - 12th Street North, St. Petersburg.
