Baxter, Adele W., 89, of Sterrett, AL and formerly of St. Petersburg, died Monday, August 7th, 2000 after a long illness. She came here in 1957 from her native Gadsden, AL. She was a long time member of Mirror Lake Christian and was given the honor of Elder Emeritus. When Mirror Lake Christian Church closed, she became a very active member at Bay Point Christian Church until ill health necessitated her moving to Sterrett to be cared for by her sister. At that time, she became a member of Beulah Baptist Church. She is survived by her sister, Mary Faulkner of Sterrett, AL; 3 stepsons, Richard Baxter of Mercer, PA; Arthur Baxter of Greenville, PA; Paul Baxter of Sandy Lake, PA; 1 stepdaughter, Rhoda McCartney of Greenville, PA; 20 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center-McLeod Chapel.
