August 31st, 1908 - September 15th, 2000
Bramlitt, Charles H., 92, of St. Petersburg, died Friday, September 15th, 2000 at home. He was born in St. Louis, MO and came here in 1961 from Chicago, IL. Locally, he was a surgeon and cardiologist for many years, retiring in 1987. He received his medical degree from Emory University in Atlanta. He was a member of the American Medical Association, the Pinellas County Medical Society, the St. Petersburg Yacht Club, and Rotary. He also was a member of St. Matthew?s Episcopal Church. He attended the Georgia Military Academy in Atlanta, and retired as a Colonel from the Air Force, serving during WW II and the Korean War. He is survived by 2 daughters, Marianna Glantzberg of Gulfport; Nancy Schreeder of Atlanta; 1 sister, Grace Proctor of Waycross, GA; 2 grandsons, Frederick E. Glantzberg, III of Acworth, GA; Rev. Charles E. Glantzberg of Frederick, MD; 3 granddaughters, Nancy Gunther of Gulfport; Marianna & Lauren Schreeder both of Atlanta; 1 niece, Carolyn Gaston of Waycross, GA; and 4 great grandchildren. Visitation will be 4-7 P.M. Thursday at Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center-9th St. Chapel, 2201 9th Street North. The Funeral Service will be 10:30 A.M. Friday at St. Peter?s Episcopal Cathedral, 140 4th Street North. Interment will follow at Royal Palm Cemetery. The family prefers memorials be sent to The Hospice Of The Florida Suncoast, 300 East Bay Drive, Largo, FL 33770 or Our Daily Bread Ministry at St. Peter?s Episcopal Cathedral.
