She was a retired schoolteacher, having taught in the Newark School System for 49 years. She was Episcopalian. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Hugh R. Gibb, 2 daughters, Victoria Gibb of Baltimore, Maryland, and Margot Cohen of Wales, England, and 2 grandchildren.
