Alcala, Opal Martha, 74, of St. Petersburg, died Sunday January 28, 2001 at St. Anthony?s Hospital. Born in Johnstown, Nebraska, she came here in 1958 from Indianapolis, Indiana. She was a day care mother for HRS for 30 years. She was an avid poetry writer and gardener and enjoyed sewing. She was Methodist. Survivors include 2 sons, Charles E. Weaver and Armando Alcala, both of St. Petersburg, 3 daughters, Juanita A. Bordeaux and Candice J. Bordeaux, both of St. Petersburg and Dianne Opal Falgione of Palm Harbor, Florida, a son-in-law, Drake M. Falgione of Palm Harbor, 5 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Lewis Lambrecht of Phoenix, Arizona and Jack Lambrecht of Indianola, Washington, 2 sisters, Bernice Fredrickson of Scottsbluff, Nebraska and Mary Rose Nicolaus of Johnstown, Nebraska, and several nieces and nephews.
