Henderson, Evelyn M., 73, of St. Petersburg died Monday April 2, 2001 at Bayfront Medical Center. Born in Birmingham, Alabama, she moved to St. Petersburg in 1973 from Linwood, NJ. She was a retired bookkeeper and teller in the banking industry. She was a member of Northeast Park Baptist Church. She volunteered for the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association and Kidney Foundation. She was a member of the Family Motorcoach of America organization. She was very active in craftwork and an accomplished artist. Survivors include her husband of 57 years: James A. Henderson; two 2 sons: James A. Henderson, Jr. ? Tampa and Brooks Henderson ? Largo; four 4 grandchildren: Jennifer Patterson ? Chapel Hill, NC, Jason B. Henderson ? Tampa, Dustin Henderson ? Largo, and Jason K. Henderson ? Jackson, MS; and one 1 great granddaughter: Sarah Patterson ? Chapel Hill, NC. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial donations to either American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or Kidney Foundation.
