Maskell, Clifford L., 94, of St. Petersburg, died Sunday April 1, 2001 at Colonial Care Center. He came here in 1956 from his native Detroit, MI where he was the owner of Clifford Maskell Hardware Store. Locally, he was the owner of George and Cliffs Hardware store from 1956 until his retirement in 1972. He was a charter member of the former First Missionary Church in St. Petersburg, where he held many offices. He was currently a member of McKee Lake Alliance Church in Pinellas Park. He was Director of the Suncoasters Quartet, who performed in St. Petersburg and the surrounding area for many years. Survivors include his wife, Delora Jane; one Step-son, James Sam Phillips, Black Mountain, NC; three Step-daughters: Pauline Rupp, Bryan, OH; Doris Peterson, North Mankato, MN; and Marcene Mounts, Columbus, OH; 12 Grandchildren; and 22 Great-grandchildren.
