Skaggs, Stephen W., 56, of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday April 18, 2001 at College Harbor Retirement Community. Born in St. Petersburg, he returned here in 1980 after living in Goldsboro, NC for 14 years. He was a retired Vice President of SunTrust Bank. He was a member of Lakewood United Methodist Church where he served on the finance committee. He also was a member of Rotary Club, Committee of 100, and campaign chairman of the United Way, while living in Goldsboro, NC. He was the student body President at SPJC before receiving his Bachelors Degree from USF and then his MBA from Georgia State. He was also an instructor at Louisiana State University. He was a Marine Veteran. Survivors include his wife, Carol, 2 sons, Clay Skaggs of New York City, NY and Morgan Beall of Virginia Beach, VA, a daughter, Lucinda Beall of San Francisco, CA, 2 brothers, Roger Skaggs and Joe Bozosi, both of St. Petersburg, 2 sisters, Susan Phillips Bozosi and Margie Skaggs, both of St. Petersburg, 2 grandchildren, Andrew & Rebecca Beall, 2 nephews and 1 niece.
