Farrugia, Charles Carl ?Chuck,? 69, of St. Petersburg, died Friday June 22, 2001 at Northside Hospital and Heart Institute in St. Petersburg of complications from heart surgery. He was born in Detroit, MI and came here in 1988 from Indianapolis, Indiana. He was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church in St. Petersburg, and a volunteer of St. Vincent De Paul. Mr. Farrugia served in the Army during the Korean War in the 2nd Infantry Division. Mr. Farrugia retired from Trans World Airlines where he was an aircraft mechanic for 31 years. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Mary A., of St. Petersburg, three daughters, Theresa Prater and Jennifer Farrugia both of St. Petersburg, and Betsy Summers of Gainesville, FL, two sons, Tom Farrugia of Largo, FL and Michael Farrugia of Raleigh, NC., and seven grandchildren. Donations may be made to St. Vincent De PAul's Society in lieu of flowers. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center-Bobbitt Chapel, St. Petersburg.
