Dodd, Osborne C., 86, of South Pasadena, died Saturday June 30, 2001 at the Fountains of Boca Ciega Bay of heart failure. Born in Warren County, Tennessee, he came here in 1970 from Knoxville, Tennessee, after retiring from the U.S. Department of Labor. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, having received 4 battle stars during WWII serving as a 1st Lieutenant. He was a member of First Unity Church. He was a volunteer at the Sunshine Center and was named Leisure Services Volunteer of the Year. He was also a volunteer at the Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services and the Reference Department at the St. Petersburg Main Library. He was a member of the Seniors Hall of Fame and the Mirror Lake Seniors. Survivors include 2 daughters, Nancy D. Hyde of Gainesville, Florida and Susan D. Henderson of Abingdon, Virginia, a brother, Clifford R. Dodd of Arcadia, California and a grandson, A.J. Henderson.
