FORTSON, Mary Lois - 95 years, was born June 18, 1906 in Warrior Stand, Alabama, closed the last chapter in her kind, loving, caring life on Friday August 31, 2001 at St. Petersburg General Hospital. She retired as a nurse with the Pinellas County Public Health Department. She was a longtime member of Northside Baptist Church. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews, great and great great, nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends who will miss her immensely. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Julius Lenwood Fortson, sisters Louise, Maxine, and Gwendolyn, and brothers Walter and Hardy. Mary was loved by everyone who knew her as she traveled the path of life as a nurse and a homemaker. She was an angel on earth and now rests with God. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Northside Baptist Church Missions of Choice.
