October 9th, 1918 - January 16th, 2002
Fahrendorf, Harry F., 83, of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday January 16, 2002. He came here in 1969 from his native Covington, KY. He served with the tank battalion in the United States Army during WWII and the infantry during the Korean War. He worked for the United States Postal Service as a Letter Carrier in St. Petersburg and retired in 1978 after 33 years of service. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. He loved to bowl. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Virginia; one son, Ted, St. Petersburg; one daughter, Harriet Boomer, Falmouth, ME; five grandchildren: Rebecca and Bryan Fahrendorf, and Jason, Heather, and Sarah Boomer. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make contributions to the American Heart Association PO Box 21203 St. Petersburg, FL 33742. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center-Ninth Street Chapel.
