Silagy, Louis S. ?Kelly?, 94, of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday February 6, 2002 at Edward White Hospital. He was the husband of the late Mary Silagy. Born in Trenton, New Jersey, he came here in 1981 from Old Saybrook, Connecticut. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard for 25 years during WWII and the Korean Conflict. At the rank of Chief Petty Officer, he taught at the Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut. He was past president of the Men?s Club at The Town Apartments. Survivors include 4 daughters, Mary Silagy of Trenton, New Jersey, Elsie Reuss of Hamilton, New Jersey, Nancy VonMaffei of Gilford, Connecticut and Patsy Nettles of Sherborn, Massachusetts, a son, Louis Silagy of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, 6 grandchildren, Louis Silagy, Pam Wilson, Fritz Reuss, Susan Hope, Jodi VonMaffei and Peter VonMaffei, 8 great grandchildren, Stephen Silagy, Gregory Silagy, Scott Silagy, Brittany Wilson, Alexandria Wilson, Elizabeth Reuss, Errica Reuss and Austin Reuss, and a special friend, Fred Burns. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center-McLeod Chapel.
