Hofacker, Dorothy M., 79, of Pinellas Park, died Thursday July 18, 2002 at St. Anthony?s Hospital. Born in New Haven, Connecticut, she came here in 1968 from Wurtsmith Air Force Base, Michigan. Her true pleasure in life was being a mother and raising her children. She enjoyed quilting, cross-stitching and sewing. Dot was a member of the Officer?s Wives Club in the U.S.A.F., the Commissary Committee, Chair Person of the Base Exchange Committee and Chair Person of the Base Nursery Committee. She was also an active traveler with the Airstreamers Tampa Bay Florida Unit. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, William A. ?Bill;? two sons: William A., II, ?Bill;? and Thomas D. ?Tom,? both of St. Petersburg; three daughters: Karen H. Hovis, and Joanne H. Spino, both of Stuart, FL; and Ellen C. Hoefer, Silverdale, WA; one sister, Jean Dowling, St. Petersburg; thirteen grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Those who wish may make contributions in her name to the American Cancer Society, 4801-86th Avenue North, Pinellas Park, FL 33782.
